Who says you can’t have it all? This burger salad is truly the best of both worlds.

It’s bursting with vegetables such as cherry tomatoes and broccoli, but most importantly it has our favorite part of a burger—the ground beef! A special creamy dressing flavored with ketchup and relish combines classic burger toppings into one, fantastic sauce. Cook, relax, and enjoy!

What you’ll need:
1 lb broccoli
1 pint cherry tomatoes
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 ½ Tbsp ketchup
¼ cup pickle relish
1 brioche hamburger bun
1 lb slider burgers
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
olive oil
coarse salt
freshly ground black pepper

Equipment:
rimmed baking sheet
large heavy skillet, preferably cast iron

Recipe steps:

  1. Prep vegetables
Cut broccoli into large florets. Halve tomatoes.

  2. Make dressing
Whisk sour cream, mayonnaise, ketchup, and relish until smooth. Whisk in 2 tablespoons oil and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Toast croutons
Preheat broiler with rack 6 inches from heat source. Tear bun into pieces. Spread on a rimmed baking sheet and season well with salt and pepper. Broil until golden, 1–2 minutes.

  4. Cook burgers
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high. Season burger patties with salt and pepper. Add to hot skillet and cook until browned, 2–3 minutes. Flip burgers and cook on the other side until browned, about 2 minutes more. Add Worcestershire sauce and swirl in the pan. Remove burgers to a cutting board.

  5. Cook broccoli
Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add broccoli to saucepan, cover, and steam until just tender, about 4 minutes. Drain and chop roughly. Season with salt.

  6. Finish
Cut burgers in half and divide among plates, or place on a platter with broccoli, tomatoes, and croutons. Drizzle with dressing. Enjoy!
