All purpose cleaner with dishwashing liquid
Mix 2 cups water with 2 tablespoons dishwashing liquid in a spray bottle. Use it on countertops and other hard surfaces. It’s also good for removing greasy fingerprints from doorframes and other painted woodwork.
Stain scrub with baking soda
To scrub away kitchen stains or clean the oven, mix a paste of 3 parts warm water to 1 part baking soda. Make a bathroom cleanser by mixing a dishwashing liquid with baking soda until you have a thick paste.
Mold + Mildew Spray with Vinegar or Lemon Juice
Soften mineral deposits on faucets by covering for several hours with a paper towel soaked in either distilled white vinegar or lemon juice. Make a window and mirror cleaner by mixing 1 part vinegar and 1 part water. This solution also works well on most finished wood floors.
Copper Scrub with Lemon and Salt
Sprinkle the cut side of the lemon half with salt, then rub it over the copper cookware to make it shine. Rinse with warm water and towel dry.
Safety note: Always be careful to label containers of homemade cleaners intended for storage and keep them well out of the reach of children.
