Biography

When I cook, I like to bring flavors from different cultures together. Raised in a Japanese-French household, it always seemed natural to combine soy sauce with butter, or crepes with shiitake mushrooms. In fact, you’ll often find me sneaking soy sauce into any dish I can—so beware! But most of all, as a believer that every recipe is rooted in time and place, I love to uncover the story behind a dish.
